First blog post in a long time. I wanted to comment briefly on the debate between Dan Barker and James White entitled “Was Jesus a Myth?” and the quite unusual incident in which Barker, just 20 seconds into White’s opening statement, interrupted him and demanded he not quote from Barker’s own book that he was selling at the back of the church.
Here’s White’s video of the incident.

I prefer not to argue the merits of either party and I’m sure this post will attract its fair share of internet crazies who prove the point of what I’m observing here; namely that some people cannot appear to let go of their precious ideologies for long enough to spot when an adherent of their cause is totally and utterly wrong which Barker was. Full stop. There is no question here. His objection was entirely and patently absurd and we would say the same thing had Dr White said it.
Anyway, no more need be said, plenty have blogged it, I just wanted to put my tuppence up.
