Just thought I’d drop this post in to see what others think of John Hagee’s slightly zealous support of Israel. In his new book he claims that Jesus never claimed to be the Messiah. I’m just wondering what Bible he is reading.

While the Brethren even say they Believe the Bible is the Word of God, they too clearly do have this unholy, desperate and complicated need to reinterpret almost every passages of the Bible suitable to their own liking.

Hi,
I’ve just read your piece about the Brethren and thanks for leaving your cryptic comment on my blog =)
I spent a number of years in the brethren and have to say while I would part with them on a number of things I found some of the most switched on Christians I have ever met there. Your article is very sweeping, perhaps it comes from a bad experience with them. I would advise against making broad brush strokes about certain denominations in the same way I would counsel many of my Brethren friends to beware of squeezing all Catholics into the anti-Christ box.
God bless. =)
